Hip Hop enthusiast have been mentioning quite frequently that the idea of Rap groups aren’t as popular as they were back in the 80s and 90s, and besides Migos, many hip hop groups have come and gone. This has a lot to do with the fact that people have become more interested in solo acts who either came up on their own or broke away from the pack.

However, NYC natives and fairly new Hip Hop group 23rdNation makes listeners think twice about how they feel about rap groups as a whole, shutting down critics with their delivery of dopeness in songs such as “No Tocar,” “Wind Up,” and “Glow”; each of which reaching hundreds of plays on SoundCloud and YouTube over the past few months. With each track, 23rdNation fails to disappoint trying their hand at multiple styles within the hip-hop genre, blending sounds that resemble Lil Wayne and his raspier tones, and even the infamous Wu-Tang when they incorporate much heavier vocals. Though interestingly enough, 23rdNation still manages to mix in new, more millennial tones.

Earlier this week 23rdNation released visuals for their track “23rdGang”.  The single itself is rather well put together with each artist tying-in their own witty yet skillful lyrical style, allowing fans to get to know each group member a bit more.
