It’s September. Offseason Still Heating Up Though.

Fall has officially started. However, it’s still hot outside. One could attribute that to global warming. Seems like summer has extended in the climate and the NBA because the offseason is still 🔥.
Carmelo Anthony got traded to the Thunder last week creating another big 3 in the NBA with Paul George and Russell Westbrook. The Thunder are very slick though because both Paul George and Carmelo weren’t even rumored to be getting consideration from the Thunder and then, they just ended up there. The Thunder front office put in work this summer. However, so did the Cavs strengthening their bench heavily over the course of a few months and then today by signing Dwayne Wade. Yes, LeBron James and Dwayne Wade are reunited.
This has been rumored to be in the works for at least a month now. However, Wade was under contract up until yesterday so he wasn’t a free agent and free to go where he wants. That changed when the Bulls him out yesterday. Now, he’s going to playing with his friend LeBron for the first time since 2014. Interesting enough, the Warriors called Wade up soon after the buyout. Imagine the Warriors getting stronger than they already are… (Side Note: Javale McGee was out here shooting and making threes with Hoodie Melo in that gym were all the NBA players were playing 😶).
Dwayne Wade is not the same player he used to be. He averaged 18 points, 4 assists and, near 5 rebounds. The Bulls wasn’t that good though. The starting 5 didn’t have any chemistry at all. That has to be taken into account. However, on a team full of stars, former stars and, good role players, he will most definitely thrive. More scorers around you = more space for you to score and more players to get assists from.
In all the NBA Offseason articles I’ve written, I’ve added that the Warriors are still winning. Now, with Thunder and Cavaliers getting as strong as they did in the last 2 weeks, you have to wonder…
The Warriors are still the front runners though.
