Most music nerds like to see the behind-the-scenes process of how a record is made. The process of the producer may be the most interesting to some.

Mass Appeal Magazine‘s “Rhythm Roulette” has been a main staple on their YouTube page for the past couple of years. They meet a producer at a record store, make them pick three records while blindfolded, and then have them produce a beat with those records.

In their latest episode, they met up with UK producer Beat Butcha in Manhattan.

Beat Butcha is best known for working with hip hop heavyweights like Sean Price, Lloyd Banks, and others. He also produced noteworthy songs like “Maybach Music V” by Rick Ross and “Sho Nuff” from Juelz Santana.

Butcha grabs a disco record and a classic Raphael Saadiq album, but the main bread & butter comes from The Dells.
