Hip Hop is already doing big things on the Bill Board charts for August- and it’s not even August.

Hip Hop is the most consumed genre of music- and continues to dominate the charts. Hip Hop is scattered throughout Bill Board’s Hot 100 chart through August 5th. Not only Hip Hop, though, R&B too.

Bill Board’s Top Hip Hop & R&B Songs:

  1. DJ Khaled, Rihanna, & Bryson Tiller- “Wild Thoughts”
  2. Bruno Mars- “That’s What I Like”
  3. DJ Khaled, Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne, & Quavo- “I’m The One”
  4. French Montana & Swae Lee- “Unforgettable”
  5. Kendrick Lamar- “Humble”
  6. Post Malone & Quavo- “Congratulations”
  7. Childish Gambino- “Redbone”
  8. Lil Uzi Vert- “XO Tour Llif3”
  9. Future- “Mask Off”
  10. Khalid- “Location”

That said, Rick Ross’s recent comments should be noted (in agreement with some of Zeba‘s statements on the Huffington Post-let’s keep the conversation going). Maybe we should intentionally spend some time reflecting on the mentality towards women- not only in Hip Hop, but in America. Because on top of all this, current Health Care Bill reform hasn’t shown any knowledge of what women need- childbirth, birth control, survivors of sexual violence all suffer.

However, debates still rage.
