Hip Hop Collects Another W.

If you’re a fan of Wu-Tang, if you’re a fan of Lil Wayne, if you’re a fan of Kanye West, if you’re a fan of humanity, it’s time to celebrate. Martin Shkreli is going to prison.

Today, Martin Shkreli was found guilty of 3 out of 8 charges in Brooklyn federal court after an over month long trial. He was accused of lying to investors about his record of managing hedge funds, the level of risk of the investments, quickly losing the money, using the money to finance companies that the money was not intended to finance and, lying on the financial statements about positive returns. He’s from Brooklyn. So, basically, another NY scammer gets caught.

He faces up to 20 years in prison (probably less because he doesn’t have a previous criminal record) but, according to him, he’s chilling.

And, I think he believes doing time will give him some street credibility or something that he could use because…

Honestly, I don’t care about all of that. Ghostface Killah and Lil Wayne got justice.  The whole game got justice today. The world got justice today.

Martin Shkreli has been flaunting his power due to his wealth in the face of rappers he claims to be fans of for far too long. He bought the one copy of the Wu-Tang album that they released 2 years ago, got into a beef with Ghostface because he didn’t like a comment he made about him raising the price of an AIDS medication by 5000%. It was this price raise that made him notorious. He then threatened to destroy the copy of the album. He allegedly bought Tha Carter 5 and then played a song off of it featuring Kendrick Lamar. He tried to buy The Life Of Pablo so that it doesn’t get released, too. He claimed that Kanye legally had to acknowledge the request and as a result he delayed the album a little. Craziest part is through all of this, he knew a trial was coming because he was indicted back when he raised the price of the AIDS medication.

However, karma got him today. Two things to learn from this: scammers come in all different shades and sizes and God don’t like ugly.

If you want to know more about what type of person he is, check out interview he did with The Breakfast Club last year.

And the rappers are criminals… Right.
