Cardi B has been setting records left and right with her first five platinum single “Bodak Yellow.” At the Grammy’s she was shocked by being the first woman to win Best Rap Album for Invasion of Privacy. She has set the pace with most of the female hip-hop acts before her time.
With her speech, she said she couldn’t breathe with emotions and shaking with her husband, Offset, by her side. “I want to thank my daughter. I’m not just saying thank because she’s my daughter. When I found out I was pregnant, my album was not complete. I had three songs I was for sure having. And you know how I was. We had to have this album done so I could shoot these videos but I’m still not showing. It was very long nights.”
If you did your history, Lauryn Hill became the first female hip-hop act to win a Grammy award with the album, The Score, with The Fugees. Peep the lastest performance of the “Money” rapper below.
