It’s been nothing but blessings for Brooklyn rapper Casanova these past few months. From the takeoff of his debut single, “Don’t Run” to now getting ready to embark on Chris Brown‘s Party Tour alongside Fabolous, Kap G and more, this is only the beginning of a long journey in the rap game.

Recently inking a deal with Warehouse Records and Roc Nation, Casanova followed up soon after with the release if his debut mixtape, Be Safe Tho. Paying homage to popular podcaster and entertainer Taxstone, who is currently incarcerated, Casanova opens up about why he named the mixtape after Tax’s infamous tagline, growing up in the streets of Brooklyn, his views on the current state of rap and much more on the latest installment of Karen Civil’s “Welcome To My Neighborhood” series.
