Chance The Rapper issued an apology today to Dr.Dre for mocking his label.

Chance The Rapper has been on his Be Encouraged Tour. Furthermore, he recently is said to have used LED graphics to make fun of different major labels. One of the labels that the innovative Independent took shots at was Dr.Dre’s, Aftermath.

According to Bill Board, he was apologizing for including Aftermath because of the label’s work.

“His work with Beats, Compton Schools and artist like Kendrick, Game, Eminem, .Paak, 50 NWA and others is unmatched and how I aspire to be…Once again… Sorry to Dre, all the Artists…Producers at Aftermath and all the other folk trying to make a difference in music that I belittled…”

The lyricist apologized in a series of tweets.

“I made the mistake of including Imprints which not only dulled my overall point of trying to uplift [artists] but also singled out artist-owned ventures that have only worked to progress the culture.”
