DJ Khaled set the iHeart Music Festival stage on fire yesterday. He is expected to bring this same energy as the host of the BET Hip Hop Awards 2017.

That’s right- BET has selected the “Anthem King” as this year’s host for the second year in a row.

“I am so excited to host the BET Hip Hop Awards for a second year. This is such an iconic show that highlights the hustle of hip hop artists in the industry. It is a huge honor to be a part of a night that pays homage to some of the greatest talent of our generation and I’m looking forward to the amazing performances and tributes. You know I’ll be bringing the cloth talk and the keys — Hip Hop Awards 2017 is going to be major!”

The named multi-platinum Producer and Artist is also leading in nominations. In addition to his hosting role, DJ Khaled is said to be nominated for nine awards. Though, Cardi B and Kendrick Lamar are also up for nine BET Hip Hop Awards. Cardi B has killed the summer with her “Bodak Yellow” track.

Now, Cardi B, Lamar, and DJ Khaled will duke it out at the event for BET Hip Hop Awards such as “MVP of The Year” and “Hustler of The Year”.

Also, according to South Florida Caribbean News, Future, Jay-Z, Migos, and Chance The Rapper are nominated for multiple BET Hip Hop Awards this year. On top of all this, the show will even be a relief effort to Hurricane survivors.

Furthermore, DJ Khaled is said to have shared the iHeart Music Festival stage with several hot Artists including Quavo of Migos, Chance The Rapper, Travis Scott, and even Demi Levato. So we can expect some surprises at this year’s BET Awards- that’s for sure.

According to Business Wire, the BET Hip Hop Awards 2017 will be recorded Friday, October 6th, and air on, Tuesday, October 10th at 8 PM ET.
