If you remember years ago around 2009, Lil Wayne was at the pinnacle of his career and literally ran the Hip-Hop world.  T-Pain was the hottest thing smokin’ in his own right curating the sound that is so prevalent today in terms of the way auto-tune is used.  They even gave us two smash collab records together with “Got Money” and “Can’t Believe It”.  Some of you maybe even remember at the 2009 BET Awards, T-Pain came out in a “T-Wayne” t-shirt, hinting at a duo name and even a collaborative project.  But for whatever reason, as you can see, that never came to be.

Fast forward to now, 2017.  T-Pain drops cover art on Instagram with a very interesting caption saying;

I’m feelin reeeeeaaaaalll spontaneous right now #2009#TheMissingPageInTheHistoryBook

He even followed that up with a teaser of a song basically saying this needs to happen.  I’m here for this because I loved the idea at inception in 2009 when they were the hottest things out.  Even though both of them aren’t at that place anymore, T-Pain is still a musical genius and Wayne is one of the greatest to ever do it.  So if this does in fact come out, I can’t see it any other way than it being really dope.
