To celebrate the anniversary of the legendary Prince, a six-track EP entitled Deliverance was dropped. The EP included tracks which were recorded between 2006 and 2008. A recent press release stated, “The songs were written and recorded when Prince was an independent artist, protesting what he saw as an unjust music industry. In the spirit of that independence, and in supporting Prince’s opinion of major label contracts, Deliverance is being released independently via RMA.”

Well less than 24-hours after the album was made available for pre-order, Apple Music, iTunes, and Google Play have removed it from its services. The project was pulled around 6:30 p.m. ET Wednesday, shortly after Prince’s estate appeared in court to block the EP’s release. Amazon still has the project available for pre-order along with 30-second previews of each track.
