12 years to the day, May 24th 2005, Common dropped his sixth studio album “Be” under Kanye West’s group label GOOD Music.  It sold 185,000 copies the first week, debuting at #2 on Billboards Top 200 and went on to sell 800,000 copies making it RIAA Certified Gold album.  To this day, it is his second album to be certified Gold, along with he next album “Finding Forever”.

The project was primarily produced by Kanye West and it’s seen as Common’s comeback after a subpar effort his last album.  It also received amazing critical acclaim from some big publications such as Entertainment Weekly, Vibe Magazine, and Rolling Stone.  So it’s safe to say, this is debatably one of Common’s best albums!
