Today marks the 5 year anniversary of Rick Ross’ fifth studio album God Forgives, I Don’t.  The album was released by his label Maybach Music Group, Slip-n-Slide Records, and Def Jam Recordings.

If you know Renzel, you know he always has some of the best production on his projects.  This project was obviously no different.  He had production from some of the heavy hitters such as Cool & Dre, J.U.S.T.I.C.E League, Pharrell, Jake One, and Rico Love.  The features were just as heavy as the producers too.  With features from Dr. Dre, Jay-Z, Andre 3000, and more.

The album generated 4 singles, but the one with the best reception however was “Diced Pineapples” featuring Drake and Wale.  Those helped the album top various charts including the Billboard 200.

The album sold 218,000 copies in the first week and with the help of 4 singles, the album ended up Gold a short while after.  The album as also nominated at the Grammy’s for Album of the Year.

Happy 5 year anniversary to God Forgives, I Don’t!
