Hot 97 kicks off their monthly who’s next event with performances from Shoneyin, Peso Da Mafia and Yung Gleesh. Dice Soho also blessed the stage and brought out Dougie F with him.  It was lit.

Shoneyin led the pack performing his buzzing single “Mozzy”. The crowd was really vibing with him & were treated to an in-crowd performance, off the stage. He’s a Staten Island artist who is most known for the song “Mozzy” & having done multiple collaborations with fellow NY native, Lite Fortunato. The Who’s next showcase always sheds light on the next hot new artists in the game and Shoneyin is definitely going to be a bright star in the future.

Peso Da mafia was also an act to remember. From the beginning, Peso Da Mafia tried getting the crowd participation by telling them to close in & stating that they were “kind of a big deal” which was truly an understatement.

Peso da mafia is a trio from Baltimore most known for their catchy tracks and very unique sound. They have been featured in Respect Mag , Complex & on Rap Genius for their song “Money Man” which was one of the most impressive tracks they performed that night Another one that was really solid was “Winning”.

Texas native Dice Soho had the most energetic performance of the showcase as he surprised the crowd with a impromptu performance from Jersey emcee Dougie F.

If u haven’t heard of him, Dice Soho is most famous for coming up with “Trill Sammy”. Most recently, both artists have been focusing on their own music but they still collaborate from time to time. Dice performed his hit tracks “Giraffe” & “Ripped Jeans”.

But that wasn’t all, Hot 97 saved the best for last with a very energetic and passionate performance by Yung Gleesh, who came through in a robe and slippers, and got straight to work performing his classics like “Water” and “Pew Pew”. He also previewed a new song which he paid homage to ASAP Yams and Fredo Santana, two artists who he was known to have very close personal relationships with, taking time out to do a crowd shout out for the late great artists.

The night was really great overall, every artist brought their “A” game and proved why they were on the SOB stage for Hot 97s Who’s Next.

So now that we got January out the way, Who’s Next ?!
