While looking to get his eight year sentence reduced down to five years, Yandy Smith’s husband Mendeecees Harris’ attempts have been rejected by a U.S. District Judge.

Looks like he will have to serve his full term for his cocaine and heroin trafficking crime committed during some time within 2006 and 2008 , after all.

Harris’ lawyer Dawn Florio dropped a motion, according to Democrat and Chronicle that he was a minor player in the drug-trafficking pipeline, attempting to have it sentence dropped by three years; not to mention, forfeiting $170,000 of his earnings through the show and public appearances.

Flora said Harris’ “conduct was limited to collecting drugs from one party and handing them to another.”

While Love & Hip Hop: New York just completed their seventh season, this is sad news for Yandy and their family who I’m sure were banking on him being granted those five years instead of the full eight, bringing him back home to them and getting those nuptials officially officiated, as the pictorial one we saw on VH1 was not actual.

No giving up though, we are sure the motion will be brought back up again as Harris gains more days in jail with every passing day.
