Last week it was announced that Jason Kidd is being inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame. The Dallas Sports Fanatic had the opportunity to catch with Jason Kidd’s former Coach  Rick Carlisle and this is what he had to say about the former Maverick.

“Great player one of the all-time greats. When we won it in 2011, he did a little bit of everything from guarding all the great players. At some point during that series on the perimeter, and he scored when he needed to.”  As for coaching out in regards to coaching ” We were on a golf trip right before his first year for three and half days, and we talked on that trip about it some. He is one of those people that will be successful at anything he does.”  His former teammate JJ Barea added

“We all knew that he was going into the Hall of Fame and we are happy for him and the year we won the championship it was amazing. He was a leader, a winner, and a competitor. He did it all, and when we needed stops, he guarded the opposing teams player, shot the ball great, and put us in a situation to win. So, it was amazing when he was here.”
