On May 15th, Urban Decay and the Basquiat Estate released a new collection of everything from eye shadows to make up bags.
Basquiat was born Dec. 22nd in Brooklyn, New York. More people noticed the late Jean- Michel Basquiat’s grafitti until he gained greater recognition in the 80’s as recorded at Biograpraphy. Additionally, the Neo- Expressionist Artist, though, born in Brooklyn, is of Haitian descent, and known for a precipitated style.
Further, Urban Decay describes the collab as “perfect fit”. The American cosmetic brand started in 1996 with 22 products on a mission to bring color to the forefront. In like manner, Basquiat’s unconventional methods are said to be the core motivation in creation of this “special edition collection”.
The make up highlights the signature diverse shades found in Basquiat’s work and the names honor Basquiat’s life according to ELLE.
While the collection is out of stock in the Urban Decay store, it is available for purchase with other retailers. Stores such as Sephora, Nordstrom, and ULTA Beauty list the product for sale with prices as low as $17.
