There goes the neighborhood

Drake's Instagram post is stirring up speculation about the pending joint project with Yeezy and Drizzy.

During his interview with Zane Lowe back in April Drake hinted at the possibility of a collaboration album with him and Kanye West. In August during OVO Fest, Kanye came out as a guest performer and asked the crowd were they ready for a collab album from the duo, a couple of weeks after that a billboard popped up in L.A. that read “calabasas is the new abu dhabi,” with the G.O.O.D. Music and OVO logos at the bottom of the billboard. After that, we haven’t heard much about the collaboration album as both have been on their respective tours, but Drake dropped a subtle hint recently on his Instagram.

The 6 God posted a picture of him and Yeezus on his Instagram with the caption, “There goes the neighborhood.” Fans began to speculate if that’s the name of the project the two have cooking up.

Kanye’s manager, Scooter Braun added more fuel to the fire with his comment on the post:

“it begins…. ,” Braun said, and a few hours after that, he reposted the photo to his Instagram causing fans to speculate even further about the joint album.

While we don’t know when we’ll get the joint project between Drizzy and Pablo, we do know that Drake is releasing a “playlist” next month called More Life, as Kanye will spend the rest of the year closing out his Saint Pablo tour. We’ll keep an eye on this as the story develops.
