Not long ago, Kendrick Lamar announced back in August that he would officially be partnering with Nike. K Dot took to Twitter to let his fans know the news, tweeting “Cortez. Since day one. #teamnike#TDE.” Kicking things off, the first release it looks like it will be an all red version of the Cortez, simple in design but BOLD in its details. “DAMN” is seen embroidered into the tongue with a lace tab bearing the acronym “TDE,” for Top Dawg Entertainment, the music label Lamar belongs to. Finally, the artists initials are seen across the heel tabs in a bold white. Alongside the red, black and white versions are to be expected to release as well.

Now, although these sneaks have only been confirmed as a sample pair, the tester will likely give fans a taste of what Kendrick and Nike have cooking up.
The Kendrick x Nike Cortez “DAMN.” is just one of many styles from Kendrick’s upcoming collection inspired by the album. Nike or Kung Fu Kenny have yet to confirm a release date.
