Kendrick Lamar released more album-themed merch on May 30th.
Lamar dropped DAMN. on April 14th. A week after, he sat down with Zane Lowe to discuss the making of the work.
Then, he went on to release the first capsule with merchandise influenced by the album later that month as stated in The Fader.
The T-Shirt design first appeared in Lamar’s music video for his single, “Humble”. The track was also the first Bill Board Hot 100 for the Artist as a lead. These were advertised at $35 for pre-order, according to XXL, and would be shipped out by April 24th. Furthermore, the items quickly sold out.
Kendrick also distributed Kung Fu Kenny apparel in April.
With the past couple of months that Kendrick Lamar had it is especially understandable that he, along with Top Dawg Entertainment, have released more DAMN. merchandise.
DAMN. went platinum at the beginning of last month. The Compton born Artist’s fourth album sold more units in its first week than any other album in 2017 according to Bill Board. On top of that, though, by May 6th- Kendrick Lamar had fourteen songs on the Bill Board Hot 100 chart. The updated collection features Dad hats, hoodies, and T-Shirts.
