Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. album has been labeled as arguably the best body of work to drop this year. After spending consecutive weeks at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 charts to then dropping down a few spots, K. Dot has officially reclaimed the throne.
According to Billboard, the Compton rappers studio effort was ranked No. 1 as the most popular album in the U.S. within the last seven days. Last week, DAMN. racked in 47,000 units sold and of that 47K, 11,000 were in traditional sales. Now, Everyone can agree that Kendrick’s third studio LP is amazing but we can most certainly tell you that him putting on mind blowing performances along with insane production for his current DAMN. tour has a lot to do with this.
With DAMN. finally back at the top of the charts, Kendrick currently has four nonconsecutive weeks under his belt at No. 1. That’s the most by any project since The Weeknd’s Starboy album which hit it’s fifth nonconsecutive top charting week in February.
Congrats to K. Dot and the rest of the T.D.E. family.
