Cleveland native Kid Cudi announced on Monday his new album “Entergalactic.” The project serves as the soundtrack for his new upcoming adult animated series on Netflix. Cudi will co-produce with Kenya Barris (producer for Black-ish) and Ian Edelmen (From How To Make It In America), co write the script, and will star in the upcoming series. This is the third show Kenya Barris will produce stemming from his $100 million dollar deal with the streaming service.
Entergalactic will be something you've never experienced. I promise it'll be a fun ride. Lot of good friends involved. Great songs too! The cast is coming together. I know a year from now seems like forever but itll be here before u know it!

“Entergalactic” follows a “young man on his journey to discover love,” according to a Netflix press release. The soundtrack marks Cudi’s first official solo album since 2016’s “Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin’. With Cudi admitting earlier this year after rehab that he has the urge to reborn, this is a great start to tranquility within his mind. So far, no official release date has been announced for the series or the album.
“[I] saw that the response was all love and support, and it really touched me,” he continued. “I was in a really bad place, and at the time, I felt like I was letting a lot of people down. It was really hard for me to even write that letter, but I needed to be honest with the kids. I needed to. I couldn’t live a lie. I couldn’t pretend to be happy.” – Kid Cudi, 2018 Interview With Billboard in Mental Health Status.
