It looks like Lil Yachty is scouting artists for a new rap group. The QC emcee announced that he was looking to create a group similar to Wu-Tang Clan via Twitter.

Lil Yachty previously put together an extensive collective of rappers including names like Kodie Shane, K$upreme, TheGoodPerry, and many more. However, in a recent interview with Kerwin Frost, Yachty revealed that the group’s indolence is to blame.“It got to the point where I was spending so much money, almost a million dollars, trying to create this company out of my own money, and they didn’t want it for themselves. I was getting these big magazine cover shoots, cover looks, and taking them on tour around the world twice. Getting these hotels and big tour buses and spending all this money on custom uniforms and video shoots, for niggas to not give a fuck.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Lil Yachty revealed that he penned one of the biggest songs of the year, City Girl’s “Act Up.” The Atlanta-native is currently preparing to release the third installment of his Lil Boat series. Yachty dropped “Go Krazy, Go Stupid Freestyle,” named after a 2015 meme, back in June. Most recently, super producer Cardo teased a collaboration with Dreamville’s heavy spitter JID which may also appear on the project.
