Hip Hop takes Broadway.

The multitalented, actor/ writer Lin-Manuel Miranda is not only taking over Broadway with his historic, hip hop infused play, Hamilton; he is invading our air waves as well, with an all star cast of musicians to match. The East Coast native and well known Hip hop afficianado has recruited the likes of The Roots, Joell Ortiz, Busta Rhymes, Dave East, Nas, Sia, Miguel, Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, Common, Chance The Rapper and many more for the ultimate soundtrack.

Lin- Manuel has teamed up with the best of them, giving us all a gift by infusing quality artists while recreating history, his way. The play was inspired after Lin-Manuel read an autobiography about Alexander Hamilton, and instantly began writing a rap about the founding father. The rap was later performed at the White house, before Lin-Manuel continued to explore Hamilton’s World, and recreating his perspective on stage.

The Hamilton/ In The Heights creator has even provided us with a new Ja Rule X Ashanti track, for a real dose of nostalgia.

The Hamilton Mixtape is out for Pre-Order November 4th.
