Collaborative albums are on the rise. Friday On Elm Street confirms it.
Over the past few weeks, some of Hip Hop’s best have released joint projects. Future & Young Thug dropped Super Slimey. Then, it quickly became the number one Rap album on Bill Board. Next, we saw the benefits of a group compilation with the surprise drop of Without Warning. Without Warning not only took Super Slimey out of the number one spot on Bill Board’s Rap chart, but also held onto the spot for two weeks. Though, it is currently ranked at number two on the Rap chart. Now, today, Friday, November 24th, Music Industry “OGs” Jadakiss and Fabolous have released a partnered project.
Though, the two also grabbed Future, Swizz Beatz, Teyana Taylor, French Montana, Styles P, Jeezy, and Yo Gotti. The 12-track compilation shows the duos’ “social conscious” with tracks like, “Talk About It” and “Principles” touching on police brutality and consequences of a life of crime.
Needless to say- Friday On Elm Street is a vibe.
