According to TMZ, VH1, and BET– the women of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta gave back to graduating seniors on Wednesday.
On May 17th, Karlie Redd, Tammy Rivera, Mimi Faust, Sierra, Ceaser, Rasheeda Frost, and the Big House Children Foundation helped ten young adults graduating high school. Some of the ladies met with the students and school staff of Columbia High School to present the check.
Each student received an individual scholarship of over $200 to cover student dues and other commencement costs.
Chance The Rapper donated $1 million to Chicago Public Schools earlier this year. Nicki Minaj also recently paid some of her supporters’ educational expenses. Minaj even mentioned starting an organization to keep investing in the futures of her followers. Furthermore, in 2015, Time listed some other celebrities that will help with paying college expenses including Lebron James, Janet Jackson, and Jay Z. Diplomas and degrees don’t always equate success though. Celebrities such as Whoopi Goldberg and Chris Rock were both high school drop outs according to Business Insider. However, both have attained notable success.
