New Jersey’s Mir Fontane embraces his alter ego on his new, 10-track EP titled Macaroni Tony. Including singles, “Hesitate,” featuring Drama, and the Billboard-approved “New Friends,” featuring Kodie Shane, Mir Fontane maintains his story-telling prowess on this 22-minute EP.
Taking listeners on an audible journey, we are introduced to the chilling story of “Macaroni Tony,” a character Mir Fontane created based on the misguided judgements people from Camden made about him as he gained popularity. “See Macaroni wanted to leave, but the hood didn’t think he should..,” the narrator states in middle of the EP.
Production is mostly tackled by Kenif Muse and Kev Rodgers, though kees, and OVO affiliated producer, Mike Zombie, add their sauce to the project as well. “Bodega” is one of the most mesmerizing tracks on the EP, and is sure to be the next single. Stream Macroni Tony via Spotify below.
