Netflix announced The After Party a few days ago and it’s lit- in the name of Hip Hop.

The After Party film crew has already cast Teyana Taylor, French Montana, and Wiz Khalifa. Additionally, audiences can expect to see Blair Underwood (Set It Off), Jordan Rock, and KYLE. Further, the show was developed by the late “Q” (World Star Hip Hop Founder). Now, The After Party credits Russell Simmons as a Producer. It also credits its Director, Ian Edelman (Puerto Ricans In Paris), with writing.

Ultimately, it is a film detailing the events of two friends purposed to attain a record deal from a major label before going their separate ways after high school.

“In one wild night, a lot will go down before the sun comes up and these two lifelong friends either have succeeded on their quest or must go their separate ways.”

Furthermore, Hip Hop DX shares that the film will be released on the platform in 2018.

Anyone re-thinking “Netflix & Chill”?
