PARTYNEXTDOOR has blessed his fans with new music a number of times within the past few weeks, the last being “Cartier“, the collab with Jadakiss released last Monday. Prior to the release of “Cartier”, there was speculation that the new music was all in preparation for his upcoming album, Club Atlantis, yet he shot down those rumors by tweeting:
Lol this is not the album roll out, music will be on Apple Music and Spotify.

Yesterday another PND track surfaced–“Hurricane” with Wiz Khalifa. The song had originally been previewed way back in 2015 during Khalifa’s DJ set at SXSW. Here’s what Khalifa had to say about the collab then in an interview with MTV News:
“That song’s called ‘Hurricane’ right now, but I’ll probably change the name of it. You’re going to hear the full version of that. That’s mine [Wiz laugh]. I did two verses on there, he has a hook… nah, psych, we did it together, so it doesn’t really matter [who puts it out].”
Over two years came and went with neither Wiz nor PND ever putting the track out and it was almost forgotten, up until yesterday when it was finally leaked on the Internet. It is interesting to note that the track has a similar cover art to “Cartier”, so it’s possible that Party was behind the leak all along.
When listening to “Hurricane”, you’ll realize that it has the same instrumental from Fat Joe and Remy Ma’s “All The Way Up”, the 2x platinum hit from last summer produced by Edsclusive. In an interview with HipHopDx, Edsclusive stated that the beat was originally made in 2015 solely for French Montana but made no mention of Wiz Khalifa nor PND; so it’s unclear as to how the two of them obtained the beat to make “Hurricane”.
