This Black History Month, Nike is hooking us up with some dope kicks to support the culture and our black roots to match.
According to Sole Collector, “This year’s lineup will feature 11 pairs: a NikeCourt Flare 2.0, LeBron 16, Kyrie 5, PG 3, KD 11, Jordan Why Not Zer0.2, Air Jordan 2, Air Jordan 1 Mid, Air Force 1 Utility, and two colorways of the Converse Chuck 70.”
The annual sneaker launch began in 2005 and has only evolved as they create ‘newer’ designs, all favoring traditional African patterns with gold accents.
Jonathan Johnson Griffin, the senior Creative Director for Nike Basketball commented on the latest launch in an official press release. “In sport, there’s a movement happening where athletes are inviting others to discover the full side of who they are, through finding their voices and improving their communities, we wanted that movement to inspire this year’s design.”
Nike’s ‘BHM’ line is set to hit stores between Feb. 1 and Feb. 2. Check out the designs below.
