The unexpected loss of Hip Hop’s Prodigy shook celebrities and fans alike. It is no surprise people are still honoring his life.
Specifically, though, this morning it was announced that this mural has been created across the street from where Prodigy grew up. The mural, according to XXL, is located at 13th Street and 40th Avenue. It can now be seen on the side of the Urban Upbound building right across the street from Queensbridge. Additionally, though, Queensbridge Housing Projects are said to be the birthplace of the Hip Hop duo, Mobb Deep.
The Prodigy piece was officially unveiled yesterday, July 6th. The new artwork shows Prodigy celebrating his Mobb Deep ties (emphasizing his tattoos).
Two Artists joined together to create the mural- Jeff Henriquez and Eli-Eos. Both said the mural was inspired from “love and respect”. On top of that though, these Artists are also planning a candlelight vigil in front of the mural to further pay homage to the late Prodigy. The vigil is scheduled for July 13th.

May Prodigy rest in peace.
May all those that love Prodigy be comforted.
May the legacy of Prodigy continue to live on.
