Washington D.C. isn’t usually recognized as a fashion capital, but students from Howard University helped in redefining the fashion image of the DMV in their Springfest Fashion Show featuring Howard University Elite Models. The fashion show entitled “No Limits” exposed the hidden talents of students straight out of the mecca from the talented student designers and models to the elite production and meticulous planning to put on the show. The show displayed clothing not only from student designers but also featured designers from NYC and the DMV area as well. This event wasn’t your average fashion show, think more of a production including dramatic lighting, props, music, and even dancers.
Who would be better to host this fashion-filled event but Brooklyn rapper, Fabolous. Fab was in the building Thursday night looking fresh as ever in his custom Louis Vuitton vest and newly released KAWS x Air Jordan 4s. Not to mention those sneakers didn’t even drop yet when he wore them, that’s regular Fab though. Fabolous also hit the stage to help present a $500 check raised by Howard students for Directly To Foundation to provide drinking water in Flint, MI. Fabolous also showed love and support when he was then spotted on stage the following day in featured designer Kaia Griffin’s 30 Hours Tee.
Everything in the show screamed high-end professional, from the poppin’ playlist and creative production to the talented runway models and designers.
Don’t just take my word for it, the pictures will do all the talking!
