Only two days into the new year and music is flourishing in all genres. With new music brings new artists and it looks like R&B has found it’s latest force to be reckoned with.

Singer-songwriter Tyler Dumont was raised in the sunny state of Miami, but credits her rhythmic flow that serenades a good trap beat to New York, where she later made her dreams a reality. The honest lyricist “hits hard with real-talk, street-level lyrics that tell the truth about life, love, and lust, straight from her soul.” Dumont is ready to take on the new year with honest sounds that not only tells her story, but will touch a nerve in listeners as if they were walking in her shoes.

Her latest project, Nomadic Behavior is set to hit platforms later this year through her own independent label. Topping the album is her single “Don’t Mean It,” where Tyler puts relationships to test with her spicy lyrics. “Hold up, wait a minute/ I ain’t sh*t? Well you ain’t either/ Pack your bags, fu*k out of here/ You’ve been evicted, get out of here,” she sings, before adding the chorus, “I said what I said but you know I don’t mean it/ And you say some things that I know you don’t mean.”

Her lyrics alone will have you questioning the status of your current relationship. Check out more music from Tyler Dumont below.
