San Diego’s own Rob $tone celebrates his Jordan Year of birthdays the right way with a new music video for his fans.

Released on Friday, Jan 26th, the day after his 23rd birthday, Rob dropped the official music video for his record ‘Uncle Ben’; the fourth track off of Rob’s 2017 album Don’t Wait For It, a project he has been promoting since it’s dispensation back in October.

 The ‘Uncle Ben’ video is one of many that Rob has released in the last couple of months. Some have noted that Rob has become more cinematic with his visuals lately, and he isn’t letting up with this one either. The Fabrizio Siboldi directed visual is the perfect pair, giving viewers a nostalgic feel.

The multi-dimensional vocalist, producer, and songwriter Rob $tone proudly hailing from the San Diego’s, Lemon Grove region draws inspiration from the prolific reggae, rock and hip-hop artists who soundtracked his adolescence and inspired him to manifest the burgeoning career and the melodic, fluid approach he happily cultivates today.
Starting his career in 2014, with his first ever recorded single “Chill Bill,” he began to gain highly recognized traction which lead up to a formal release of debut mixtape, Straight Bummin’ in 2015. The project that was later followed by his first EP, Landing, the same year.
In 2016, “Chill Bill,” quickly climbed its way up the Billboard Hot 100, going on to peak at No. 29, leading him toward inking his first major label deal with RCA.
The Kill Bill-inspired single, was later certified 2x Platinum by the RIAA, further igniting his passion to not only create music for himself but to put on for his city.
From taking the streaming game by storm to receiving co-signs from a slew of reputable artists, Rob $tone has continued living up to his reputation as a bonafide rising talent, going on to release his 2016 sophomore mixtape, I’m Almost Ready, while his viral single received the remix treatment from the likes of D.R.A.M., Denzel Curry and Cousin Stizz. Rob $tone continued to be celebrated for his emotive, lively performances, lending his talents on the road as a supporting act alongside Playboi Carti & A$AP Ferg in 2016 and Desiigner & Ski Mask in 2017.
Prior to closing out one of the most productive and exciting years of his career, the then 22-year-old celebrated the release of his long-awaited debut studio album, Don’t Wait For It. In addition to landing a dream-come-true collaboration with Gucci Mane and creating a visual component to accompany nearly every track, the project also featured Meechy Darko (of the Flatbush Zombies), Malik Burgers and Cash Passion, among others, with production by Zaytoven, ID Labs, Cream Wallo, Money Montage and more.
