Covering artist from all over the globe, Young Paris is a rising star from Jay-Z’s prominent Roc Nation recording label.
Born née Milandou Badila, Young Paris is a Congolese, French-born New Yorker whose music sounds like a mix between hip-hop, African, and club music. Preparing for his upcoming LP, “AFROBEATS” out March 24th, Young Paris recently released the visual for his first single “F*ck Up the Place”.
Shot in what seems to be an abandoned warehouse covered in graffiti, the energetic track and visual stays true to his African heritage making use of body paint and African-style dance. If signing with Roc Nation wasn’t enough, Young Paris also manages his own brand called Melanin which he says embraces “the beauty and elegance” of black culture. Through his brand he has also coined the hashtag #melaninmonday to further push African pride by showing off powerful visuals and educational content pertaining to people of color.
