Armed with an arsenal of talent and inspirations from Jill Scott & Michael Jackson, Dana Vaughns is making waves as R&B’s new love child. His unique style fuses together classic 90’s R&B vibes with a new & fresh perspective on life and love at age 21. Dana’s music career began when he joined the boy band IM5. The band racked up many accolades including their hit single “Don’t Run Away,” the lead track from the Disney feature film “Let It Shine.” This traction got them nominated for an RDMA back in 2014 and an invitation to perform live at the Kids Choice Mexico that same year!
Known to fans as the “dancer” of group, they went through the transition with him as he pivoted into being a solo artist. Fans got to see the raw talent and creative mindset Dana has in his music. As he fills many hats, acting is one he also enjoys.
2019 has been a great year thus far for Dana as he was featured in Kanye West’s’ Sunday Service during Coachella, performing with Cardi B and Offset during BET Awards, and his acting role on American Soul. With his current role as “Curtis Edwards” on the new hit show, he continues to wow fans through his diversified gifts.
New single “Rough Rider” is a fan favorite and it’s even more hyped as the visual was released Friday (July 12th). He says: People want to always say a person is their ride or die but do they know what that means? I want fans to feel a certain frequency as the song plays.”
