21 Savage had a breakout year in 2016, he made the 2016 XXL Freshman list and dropped his breakout project Savage Mode with Metro Boomin. After inking a deal with Epic Records back in January, the Atlanta rapper finally releases his highly anticipated debut Issa Album.

The 14-track album doesn’t have any features and the only guest vocals on the album are some adlibs by Young Thug on a “Whole Lot.” A majority of the production is handled by Metro Boomin with some help from Zaytoven, Southside, Pi’erre Bourne, DJ Mustard, and 21 himself.

Compared to his last EP Savage Mode this project has a different vibe to it and as engineer Alex Tumay described it ‘Savage Mode’ sounded like a horror movie, while Issa Album sounds like a mob flick set in the 80’s.
