If there’s one rapper from Toronto good at maintaining consistent relevancy, it’s Tory Lanez. In anticipation of his forthcoming project, Chixtape 5, Tory delivers visuals for his latest freestyle over Polo G and Lil Tjay’s breakout record “Pop Out.” The “Playboy Mix” visuals see the Canadian rapper talking about his rise from poverty while showing off his plaques and Bentley.
Polo G’s “Pop Out” was released at the top of the year and became a viral success almost immediately thanks to the lip-sync social media app, TikTok. The track, produced by JD On The Track and Iceberg Beatz, most recently peaked at No. 11 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. It also serves as one of the many standout cuts on Polo G’s debut album Die A Legend.
Tory Lanez released his third studio album, LoVE me NOw?, in late-2018. However, Tory continues to push out music with the release of “Freaky” and “Broke Leg,” a collaboration with Quavo and Tyga. It’s unclear when Chixtape 5 will release, but Tory Lanez assured fans it’s on the way: “perfection is perfection and I promise it’s worth the wait.”
