Legendary, Influential and Iconic rapper and activist Tupac Shakur has been reincarnated but not in a way we saw coming. Tupac Shakur’s estate has collaborated with Marvels’ Black Panther to bring you a collection of clothing that embody the late rappers stance on his love for black people and activism alike.
Tupac Shakur’s mother Afeni Shakur was one of the original Black Panthers of her time.
Tupac was very vocal and passionate about his beliefs to advance not only black people but a people and a generation that were trapped in the struggle of poverty and police brutality, so this collaboration only seems fitting.
The clothing collection consists of nine pieces that are inclusive of hoodies and T-shirt’s that combine Tupac’s face and song titles such as “Until The End Of Time” with the Black Panther Logo. It is really an epic idea considering Tupac committed a large portion of his life to activism as well as his strong ties to the Black Panthers.
POP is a new online branch of footlocker that focuses on merging the pop culture with apparel. The clothing collection can be found exclusively on Footlockers website.
“The first collaboration from the POP series features Tupac and Black Panther. Both heroes of the culture, the crowned king of hip hop joins forces with the protector of Wakanda for a collection rooted in passion. The two kings are allied for the people and fighting for the future. Trust nobody, Wakanda forever.”
2Pac x Black Panther a collection of depth and meaning. Footlocker is on to something with this, cultivating an environment of discussion between the Marvel Black Panther generation and the Tupac generation of who Tupac was, who he is, and who he will forever be. An untamed soul that came and changed the world with his blunt outspokenness and quest for the truth, an Activist with a love for the advancement of the underdog and the underprivileged. The legend continues to live on throughout this generation with his music and now partnership with Marvel.
“We gotta make a change. It’s time for us as a people to start making some changes. Let’s change the way we eat, let’s change the way we live and let’s change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn’t working, so its on us to do what we gotta do, to survive” Tupac Shakur
