If you haven’t heard of Tuxedo, let me introduce you to the amazing group.

Tuxedo is comprised of producer Jake One, who has produced various tunes for Wale, Wiz Khalifa, and Drake. The other half is Mayer Hawthorne, who has made a pretty successful solo career for himself under the Stones Throw Records imprint.

Inspired by 80’s soul groups like Shalamar and Midnight Star, they perform under Tuxedo, who released their second album back in March of this year.

The crew was next in line for NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series, where various acts perform a Unplugged-esque set in a library.

The Tux performed a few cuts off their first album, as well as a few from the their latest album. Equipped with a few instruments, a boombox, and a hot button that says “HO!,” Tuxedo rips their concert.

If you’re new to Tuxedo, or been a fan for a while, you’ll enjoy this nonetheless. Check their performance out below. Also, peep their latest album, II.
