Back in May, Logic released arguably one of the best albums this year with Everbody which featured the standout record, “1-800-273-8255.” The video is very touching for multiple reasons but the main thing that stands out is the fact the record is based on suicide prevention. The phone number stands for the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
Directed by Andrew Hines, Logic depicts the story of a teenage couple who struggle with their sexuality but in the end, they finally chalk up the courage to speak to their parents about their preference. With some help from Alessia Cara and “Location” singer Khalid, the video is extremely powerful but raises a great message.
In other news, the Maryland rapper is currently on tour with Joey Badass and the two have been shutting down stages from city to city. Recently the two MCs recorded themselves dropping a humorous freestyle while on the tour bus after a show. Logic has also been showing love to other artists such as Lil Yachty who made an appearance at one of the shows as well as legendary journalist Rob Markman who recently just dropped his debut EP, Write to Dream.
