This year is the 50th anniversary of Woodstock that will have a headline of Jay-Z, Chance The Rapper and more. It was supposed to take place in Watkins Glen, New York from August 16-18. Reports indicate that it has been canceled via Events Coordinator Dentsu Aegis Network. The organizers from the festival saying that it is false information and the show must go on. The ticket sales have been postponed due to potential buyers for further information.
“Woodstock 50 vehemently denies the festival’s cancellation and legal remedy will (be) sought,” a statement from Woodstock 50 said, according to USA Today.
It appears that there won’t be as many attendees as expected this year. It leads to the cancellation of the festival. With the top of the line performers who are headlining the show, it appears that over $30 million to secure the artists.
