Pick up and kill it, & kill it, & kill it….
Apparently that’s what Nick Cannon was aiming to do, but unfortunately Twitter and Hip Hop taste makers aren’t here for it. Just like his show, Nick is Wild’N Out and brought the Black Squad with him to come out and play. As per usual, Marshall “Eminem” Mathers hopped on a track sounding extra aggressive during his guest verse on Fat Joe and Dre’s recent release, Family Ties.
During his verse on the album song, “Lord Above,” Em revisits his feud with Cannon by taking shots – sparking back up a stale feud from 2009. It seems as though the Wild N’ Out boss caught wind and had some words for Shady. In his verse, Slim Shady jokingly raps that Nick’s ex-wife Mariah Carey, whom Em has insisted he used to date, neutered him during their marriage. He spits:
“I know me and Mariah didn’t end on a high note/But that other dude’s whipped-that pussy got him neutered….” “Tried to tell him this chick’s a nut job before he got his jewels clipped/Almost got my caboose kicked/Fool, quit/You not gonna do shit/I let her chop my balls off too before I lose to you, Nick.”
Last week in response, Nick decided to challenge Eminem to a rap battle on his radio show Nick Cannon Mornings. He even went as far as to inviting him on his improv show Wild ‘N Out.
The gloves are officially off!
Fast forward through the weekend to Monday (December 9th), and things were taken to the next level. Nick took to Instagram to let fans know he was officially responding to Eminem’s pointed insults on the Fat Joe track. In response, Cannon released a diss track of his own featuring none other than Suge Knight. To set off round 1, Nick answers Em by. Accompanied by a black and white visual, Nick exclusively premieries the Suge Knight-assisted “The Invitation” on Nick Cannon Mornings
The track kicks off with an automated message from Suge saying, “You know I don’t do no talking, but Nick is family. Eminem’s a bitch!” Keeping the same energy, Nick beins rapping, taking shots at Em and his family. Taking aim at the Detroit rapper, Nick taps along with Suge, Nick taps Hitman Holla, Charlie Clips, and Prince Eazy.
Doubling down on the feud, Nick Cannon isn’t letting up. Instead Cannon drops a second diss track the next day to taunt the D-Town emcee to clap back. Despite the pending response frrom Em, it seems as though the fans are sticking by Shady as #RIPNick starts trending on social media with over 50 thousand tweets and growing.. Throughout the second track, “Pray For Him-The Invitation” featuring the Black Squad, Nick continues to take shots at Em’s family, age and past addiction. Adding fuel to the flame, Cannon also took to Instagram with a video from the Atlanta set of MTV’s Wild ‘N Out.

Celebrities and fans all over seem to be backing Eminem and are stating that when he’s ready, he will destroy Cannon in a rap battle and/or diss track. This resparked feud has awaken the social media troll of the decade, 50 Cent. He took to social media and did not hold back, calling Nick’s first diss track “trash.”
“I don’t understand to save my life why someone would pick a fight with EM. He is a different kinda animal, I haven’t seen a motherf***er come close to beating him man. He continues, “hey Nick that s**t was trash, I oughta kick you in yo a*s when I see you PUNK!”
At the end of the video, Suge calls out Em and his hometown stating: “We should tell the motherfuckers in Detroit, that he got 24 hours to respond, or they need to kick his ass out that motherfucking city.”
Eminem has yet to respond to the second diss track. Stay tuned as the story develops.
